About Artist Michael Irvine

My photo
MICHAEL IRVINE | Car Art
Known for his incredible high impact car art, Michael Irvine’s one of America’s top automotive artists. He captures both classic and next generation muscle/sports cars using vibrant watercolor. He hand draws and hand paints each piece. The work is immensely detailed, powerful and imaginative. With a vast knowledge of cars, Michael’s paintings are not only vibrant, creative and exciting, but technically accurate as well. He is able to create works that draw people in and slowly tell them a story. With a passion for the automobile that started in his childhood, Michael’s approach to a traditionally loose medium and ardent eye for detail, produces clean, stunning images that are alive with color and narration. His use of reflective surfaces, hidden images and incredible attention to technical accuracy, make his paintings highly captivating. Michael released his first painting, "Evolution of a Legend", in 1994. As a full time artist, Michael’s work continues to evolve—always challenging himself both creatively and technically. His portfolio can be viewed at his on-line gallery, www.michaelirvine.com. Michael's art hangs in homes, offices, dens, man caves and garages, around the world.

Thank you

For sharing in our love of classic and modern muscle cars. "There aren't many we'd kick out of the garage for dripping oil!" And for being as passionate about Michael's car art as he is about creating it. — Linda
